One thing that still excites me about living and working as an Austin wedding and engagement photographer is the huge changes in scenery that I can find all within the city limits.
We started this engagement session in the beautiful Mary Moore Searight Park here in Austin and caught golden hour through the trees. They brought their adorable dog for the session who did amazing! I’m always impressed since my giant pup would dash off and probably be gone for hours chasing animals. Dogs in engagement sessions should always be encouraged as far as I’m concerned!
Moving to the best parts and views of downtown Austin, the future bride and groom switched up their wardrobe and we met on South Congress. I am not sure if I will ever get over the Austin skyline. I love turning onto South Congress, heading north, and seeing the Texas State Capitol in all it’s glory. The twinkly lights on Congress and the neon lights from the Paramount Theatre can make me happy any night. Taking my couples on walks around the downtown area just fills me with photo inspiration!
I loved the few props they brought and we had to end the night with adding in the good ole Texas flag. SO happy I got to meet these two! Congrats Gisela & Joe!
