Alex & Sonny | Butler Park Romance

The work I put into my photography is driven by my desire to create.

When I have a couple show up looking like a page out of a magazine… I feel like they are ready to create art with me.

And that’s what these two did.

If you have been following my instagram account, you know I am constantly encouraging couples to bring their fur baby along for the engagement session. Seeing as we were shooting at Butler Park and the Long Center, it was a perfect spot to bring along their sweet dog Monty.

I also encourage a wardrobe change! That way the engagement portraits you get back and print for your home have a little variety.

Alexandra is a fashionista here in Austin who moved with Sonny from Chicago. I love following her trends on Instagram and was so happy her blog featured advice on how to go about designing a beautiful Save the Date card for your wedding.

So it shouldn’t be surprising how dapper they looked waltzing out in their second outfit.

As much as I love light, bright and cheery photos, I also adore creating drama using manual camera settings, big Texas skies and of course- my MagMod gear.  If you search #MagMod or #MadewithMagMod on Instagram, get ready for some jaw dropping images!

It’s inspirational seeing how other artists use light and I hope to inspire a few more photographers to get out there and just do it.

Hope you love this engagement session at Butler Park and I can’t even wait for this Fall wedding!

Congrats again, Sonny & Alex!
