Ok.
I know I did things backwards by posting her bridal’s first… but to be honest- there are times I post so much about my couples between Facebook and Instagram that I think I already blogged their session.
:: sigh ::
Wedding photographer problems.
This engagement session was even more stunning then it looks… I stood there looking out at the family property and taking it all in. And probably could’ve stayed a lot longer.
I love my city life. The hustle and bustle of downtown Austin is a little intoxicating in itself… but when I get to travel for sessions and weddings? It slows me down in a way I know I need from time to time.
I need to stand out in a field, climb up into a barn and stare into the eyes of an owl every now and then.
Um.. What?
Yeah, the Harry Potter lover in me kind of freaked that there was a Hedwig sitting across from us in the top of the barn. But the fact that we got to sit up there and I could bring my Magmod gear up there too for a fun shot? I am pretty positive I want another couple to come out there with me for another session.
The fun continued down by the river, thankfully I wasn’t driving my ’99 Corolla since we were off roading… and as much as I love that car, it’s safe to say it couldn’t have cut it.
What was better than the scenery itself was hearing about the history behind it. Jaime’s parents were able to tell me about any little nook that I was obsessing over. There was a story behind each knob and panel, and I was fascinated.
Okay, go enjoy this adventure as much as I did…
WOW! These are gorgeous! This couple is not only adorable but their land is magical. I wouldn’t have wanted to leave either. I love how beautifully you photographed everything.

Amy, you did a great job with this engagement session at this family farm. I love the rich detail and colors you used to bring these photos to life and can tell how much fun this couple had with you. I especially love the different looks you got with the clients using different wardrobes. That helps so much and creates such variety.
Fantastic job! 🙂

Aw!!! I love these family farm engagement photos from Texas! I always tend to think of your work with a real city, urban vibe. It’s so lovely to see you’re just as inspired by rustic farm shoots. These are warm, fun and perfectly romantic. Beautiful shoot.
