Becky & Nicco | Sunset wedding at Moon River Ranch

It’s always an honor to shoot for someone who is “in the biz” and this wedding was no exception! When videographer Nicco Renna  inquired, I was happy the date was open. If you have been following me on Instagram or my website, you might have already seen how much I love shooting at this Waco wedding venue: Moon River Ranch. The drive out from Austin is a beautiful one, that preps you for your mini getaway. I got more than a days exercise (says my LG phone app)  going between the stunning main cabin lodge and the quaint Hotel they have set up for the bridal party to get ready. (Ok, and maybe a stop by the horses for a selfie, too!) We did not want the soon to be newlyweds seeing each other before the ceremony, but thanks to a small balcony we were able to get the entire wedding party in a photo together. That is NO small feat considering how many close friends these two have. Seriously. We packed 18 guys out there and nothing caved in. The bride and groom chose to keep their dogs (that I only refer to as little bear and polar bear, one day I’ll know their names!) with them for the ceremony, which was adorable to say the least. I don’t think I have seen so much laughter during a service, either. It was sweet, personal and filled with examples of the great love stories in the Bible. Once they were told to kiss, they did it right. Perfect dip. From there, the venue and golden hour were simply on point. I was able to get everything I wanted from silhouettes in the cotton field with the groom’s top hat defined in all it’s glory, to them walking down the long gravel road as the drone from the videographer zoomed overhead. Even their first dances were swept up in romance thanks to the beautiful live music. I am so happy we were able to sneak out for one moment during the reception for a little night shot, and just leave it to these two to dance instead of stand still! It was so fitting. Their guests kept the dance floor packed all night. The night went quickly, as the fun parties do. Between listening to heart felt speeches from those who love them dearest and dancing the night away once the DJ kicked in… before you knew it the bubbles were blowing and they were jumping in the back of the truck to wave goodbye! Thank you to everyone involved in making this day a dream for Becky and Nicco. It was a beautiful day!
