What a day! Taking these two around some of the best views and stops in downtown Austin has me excited to shoot their summer wedding already. They chose the Zilker Botanical Garden to start their engagement session and it started with a bang. We had a combination of a winter chill with that crazy Texas sun to make this a perfect day to shoot. I always stress how important it is for two people to be friends before getting married. Sounds simple. But it’s a necessity that so many couples overlook. Throughout the day it was so sweet to hear about how their friendship started and how they started dating after becoming best friends. Up next we head down Congress to the impressive Paramount Theatre. Being a wedding photographer around Austin I am thankful that I have shot all over. A wedding I photographed a while back held their reception at the Intercontinental so I was excited to get to use their venue again. We were able to get up close and personal near that neon Paramount sign thanks to the beautiful views from the Hotel. We weren’t quite done yet, though! During their time together they had spent a few hours on coffee dates and I knew I wanted to incorporate that into their engagement session. We wrapped up their shoot at the historic Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin. We stopped in their quaint 1886 Cafe & Bakery for lattes and I let them enjoy them around the hotel lobby. Love that they had their class rings from Texas A&M. Makes each engagement session unique when I can photograph a piece of how they met. I’m so happy for these two!
Not your average wedding blog. 
This has to be the perfect engagement photoshoot. The couple choose great clothing, you were able to photograph them at so many beautiful places around Austin, places that were significant to the two of them, and you have such beautiful photography!

This is a beautiful downtown Austin engagement session. I love hoe you incorporate the scenery so well into the pictures. You use so many different backdrops in one session this couple really gets so much to choose from. These are amazing

Wow! Zilker Botanical Garden was the perfect place to start this session! The colors and vibrancy of the garden in these images is absolutely fantastic! The unique angles of the Paramount Theatre are fabulous as well! Fabulous engagement photography in Austin!
